Until now this site only had mountain bikes on it. That’s changed: the Avinox motor has started turning up in drop-bar bikes, so I’ve added gravel and road e-bikes to the catalogue. They get the same treatment as the mountain bikes, with full geometry and parts lists.
Megamo Upon (road)
Megamo launched the Upon in June, and pitches it as a dedicated road bike rather than a gravel bike adapted for tarmac. It’s carbon, with a 600 Wh battery built into the frame, room for 42 mm tyres and Shimano road groupsets. The Upon 05 and 15 CW get the M2S, the Upon 20 the M2.
Megamo Along (gravel)
The Along followed shortly after: the same idea, built for gravel. Carbon frame, 600 Wh battery and room for 50 mm tyres. There are five versions. The 01, 03 CW and 03 have the M2S, while the 10 and the flat-bar version have the M2. Only the 01 comes with a suspension fork (a DT Swiss F132 with 40 mm of travel); the rest have a rigid carbon fork.
Velduro Phantom (gravel, or frame only)
Velduro’s Phantom is a carbon gravel bike with the M2 and a 600 Wh battery. You can have it with drop bars (Phantom X and Phantom R), with a flat bar (Phantom S), or as a bare frame to build up yourself. More on that in every Avinox frame kit you can buy.
Finding them
In the bike list, pick Gravel or Road under category, or Rigid fork under frame type. You can compare them with the e-MTBs too, just expect big differences: drop-bar bikes have much shorter reach and much steeper head angles.
